Every year, the Salesians of Don Bosco, a catholic organization, organize a Summer Camp for kids. This year they focused on activities to work about Irregular migration in collaboration with VIS - Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo, to give an idea and educate the children about the difficulties and challenges the migrants face during the journey.
Reducing irregular migration is a major element of EU migration policies. The interest in such phenomenon has increased not only in relation to public security - particularly intensifying in recent years and resulting in specific regulations to prevent and contrast the phenomenon - but also in relation to both humanitarian implications and fundamental rights of the people involved.
